The Fix Factory Lifetime (and Limited) Warranty + Install Guarantee

At Fix Factory, our experienced and professional Quality Assurance Team enables us to confidently offer a Lifetime Warranty + Install Guarantee on all display, screen, and digitizer assemblies when installed by our Certified Technicians or our Authorized Partners.

All other parts and products, when combined with our services, include up to a 1-Year Limited Warranty, as clearly outlined on your invoice and product pages online.

While each part undergoes strict pre-installation and manufacturer-level testing, we recognize that rare defects can still occur—whether inherent to the component, missed during testing, or sustained during shipping or unpacking.

In the case of Genuine (OEM) Authorized Dealer-Direct Parts (mostly Apple), they are provided to us in sealed packaging directly from the Authorized Distributor and undergo extensive pre-shipping testing at the OEM (Apple, Samsung, Google etc) so as to avoid defects prior to sale and installation, which limits the available warranty claims to manufacturer defects only (which are rare, and averaging 0.001% RMA rate).

WARRANTY OVERVIEW

Fix Factory stocks a variety of products sold across multiple platforms. The following warranty terms apply to all products purchased in conjunction with our fix services, regardless of the sales channel.

When your screen, digitizer and/or display assembly is installed by Fix Factory, we warranty your screen, digitizer and display assembly (LCD, HOLED, SOLED, OEM/Original Quality, Genuine Direct) for life against manufacturer defects + we guarantee its basic functionality, applicable manufacturer certifications, and related performance immediately upon install – based on the quality class selected – provided the device has not been previously opened or serviced by any party other than Fix Factory Technicians or our Authorized Partners. As a final measure to support our clients, if the technician is unable to fully or partially approve a warranty claim on-site or remotely through the ticketing system, we can proceed with replacing the part at standard repair pricing. The original replaced component will then be returned to the vendor for further warranty adjudication. If the claim is approved, a refund or credit will be issued accordingly.

Physical Damage of Any Kind (e.g. cracks, impact, drop damage)

Damage caused by Other Failing Components (e.g. a swelling battery damaging the screen)

Intentional or Accidental Damage (e.g. repeatedly pressing too hard on an iPad home button, drops, bangs or excessive pressure or heat etc)

Wear and Tear (e.g. burn-in) or Corrosion Coverage

Pre- or Post-Fix Liquid Damage Coverage (of any kind)

Parts without Identifiable Fix Factory Labels or Service Markers

Restoration of your IP Rating/Liquid Resistance Rating

In extremely rare cases, where accidental damage is clearly and directly caused by our fTech, the Technician, Authorized Partner or Fix Factory may – at its discretion – provide a remedy, such as replacing the affected part(s) at cost or no cost (e.g. replacing a battery punctured directly by a Tech during screen removal). These rare situations are assessed and handled by Fix Factory Support, and approved on a case-by-case basis. See detailed coverage below.

For all other parts installed by a Fix Factory technician or authorized partner (e.g. batteries, cameras, back housings/glass covers, charge ports etc.), we offer an up to 1-Year Limited Warranty, depending on the part and quality class. Coverage terms are clearly indicated on your invoice and on the product page at the time of purchase. See detailed coverage below.

90-Day Comprehensive Repair/Replacement Warranty

Enjoy peace of mind with our 90-Day Comprehensive Warranty covering all eligible hardware related issues in your refreshed device, including all repairs and replacements performed by Fix Factory Canada on the refreshed device previously. If anything goes wrong (excluding software/app-related issues), we’ll be there to help – no hassle within your 1st 90-days. Please note, there may be a $25-$50 labor service / recycling / fuel surcharge attributed and/or collectible at the time of service.

Lifetime Screen and Display Warranty (LCD/OLED)

We offer a Lifetime Warranty on all LCD and OLED screens on your refreshed device. If your screen and/or display assembly fails due to a manufacturer defect, we’ll replace it free of charge for the part, as long as there is no physical damage, significant wear and tear or visible signs of liquid exposure. Please note, there may be a $25-$50 labor service / recycling / fuel surcharge attributed and/or collectible at the time of service.

1-Year Battery Warranty

Our 1-Year Battery Warranty covers any battery in your refreshed device, whether it was installed previously by Fix Factory Canada or is the original part. If your refreshed device battery:

‣ No longer holds a charge / Is not charging at all

‣ Exhibits Battery Swell

‣ Is below 79% health capacity within one year

…it will be replaced free of charge for the part, provided there is no physical or liquid damage. Please note, there may be a $25-$50 labor service / recycling / fuel surcharge attributed and/or collectible at the time of service.

Non-Transferable: Warranties apply only to the original purchaser and device. Coverage is void if the device is sold or transferred to another person.

Business Continuity: Warranties are null and void in the event Fix Factory Canada ceases operations in Canada.

Third-Party Interference: Any repairs performed by a third party or non–Fix Factory Canada technician void the warranty.

To maintain coverage, clients must provide Fix Factory with the first right of refusal for any issue requested under warranty. Attempting fix through another technician or shop prior to contacting Fix Factory may result in the denial of your warranty claim. See detailed coverage below.

For all mailed-in warranty fix requests, return shipping to Fix Factory is generally the responsibility of the client once the warranty claim has been approved for adjudication. However, we will cover the cost of shipping the fixed device back to you once the warranty assessment and any necessary repairs are complete. In select cases, free return shipping to Fix Factory may be included as part of your approved warranty coverage, and is approved on a case-by-case basis. If applicable, such shipping terms or exceptions will be clearly indicated in your support correspondence. Please note, shipping damage coverage coverage is capped at $100, pursued through the couriers channels. If you want additional insurance coverage, please purchase your own prior to sending.

Please be advised that while your screen and display assembly may be covered under our Lifetime Warranty, and other parts may be covered under our Limited Warranty (up-to one year), certain associated costs – such as technician labor, adjudication of non-faulty parts, and administrative processing fees – are not included in warranty coverage.

In other words, a service fee may apply to your warranty claim, regardless of whether the part in question is ultimately found to be defective. All applicable fees will be clearly disclosed in advance, prior to dispatching a Fix Factory Technician, or Authorized Partner, for any warranty-related evaluation or service.

Typical assessment or adjudication fees range between $25 and $40, depending on the service type and complexity. In some cases (e.g. back glass replacement), fees may be higher due to specialized labor, materials or specific terms for warranty.
